It's beginning to look alot like CHRISTmas!

We I originally wrote this it was beginning to look alot like Christmas--now it is Christmas--doesn't the time between Christmas and Thanksgiving seem to get smaller and smaller every year??? Anyway here are some pics of us decorating for Christmas and playing with Christmas decorations...

Tucker hanging the first ornament on the tree.
Gigi sat on the ground and watched this ornament for the longest time and finally grabbed a drumstick, crawled over to it and started swatting at it like it was a pinata...I know, I know--we are all aware that she's probably already smarter than all of us!

The next pictures are of Tucker playing with the nativity scene--it was very sweet and the pictures are precious--but to hear him actually talking like Mary and Joesph and baby Jesus was actually hilarious--he was in his own little nativity world--wish I would've gotten it on video!

Merry Christmas!

Space Week

Today kicked off space week at school--or so we thought. Bryce and I constructed this very authentic astronaut uniform last night for Tucker to wear to school for space day...

So, imagine the suprise I felt when I dropped Tucker off at school and watched child after child walk into school in normal clothes...did their parents forget b/c it was right after the Thanksgiving Holiday...are their outfits in thier bags to put on later...NO and NO--Tucker's teacher informed me when she put him in the car that space dress up day is on Wednesday---GREAT!!! So now I know why when the teacher opened the door to get Tucker out of the car she said (in a stunned sort of way) Ohhhh--what (not who, mind you) do we have here? And, as Tucker walked into school the teacher's literally were laughing so hard that I thought they were going to pee their pants. Good thing that Tucker is only three and he's a boy (and he's adorable)--in his mind he could wear this to school everyday and feel totally confident and comfortable! God Bless him! :)

Thanksgiving Feast

Tucker had his Thanksgiving Feast at school last week...here are some pics!
When Tucker came out all dressed as an indian he started doing the robot saying "I'm a wobot mommy!" Such an imagination...

dsf

Tucker and WesYou can see Tucker and all his cousins, Molly Morgan, Caroline, Clara, and Jake all coming up behind Tucker--I think that they were staring at the man in the AUTHENTIC Indian headress--that went all the way to the floor!

Gigi ate some sweet potato casserole from the comfort of her stroller--her mother is a germ-a-phobe!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Halloween 2009

One word for this post...totally...ANTI-CLIMATIC!!!! Well, my camera battery went dead and I couldn't find the charger, mom forgot her totally awesome camera, so between myself, Bryce, Lady, Poppy, David Giles, and Neesie (Clara) we have this one picture from Halloween and Bryce's bday...

Gigi is a precious little flower for her first halloween and Tucker was a farmer. Lady and Poppy, and David and Neesie dressed up too; to help hand out candy and see the kids dressed up! I did contemplate re-dressing the kids and staging another Halloween but... here's a picture of Tucker the morning after Halloween and I didn't want to have to go through that again...

This is what a child who doesn't get to eat candy looks like the morning after Halloween...SUGAR OVERLOAD!!!

Pumpkin Carve Off 2009

Every year we make the biggest deal about carving our pumpkins; not sure why but it's a big event at our house. So, we let Tucker stay up late and carve his pumpkin. By the time we got him to bed, I'll be honest, I was over the pumpkin carving so Bryce carved both our pumpkins this year. I must say Bryce is an EXCELLENT pumpkin carver!!

This is Tucker's spooky pumpkin face!!

Uhmm... yes that is a $1 store plastic table cloth...call me Kate Gosselin...but I still cleaned up pumpkin for at least 4 days!

Love this pumpkin! My concept but Bryce did all the work!

This is the GRAND FINALE!! Look at this pumpkin!!! Bryce worked for like 4 hours on this--so cool!!

Legs, Legs, Legs

Oh lord, the girl's got legs!!! I mentioned earlier that our girl has got some thunder thighs going on and I wasn't kidding!!! Just squeezable!!

Woodstock?!?

Before I post these pictures there are a few things that I want to explain:
  1. Tucker does have clothes, that he wears, but he has decided that he likes to sleep in only his underwear, so most of the time he runs around in his underwear (which is just funny in and of itself) when he gets up from his nap unless we're going outside to play.

  2. Poppy gave us these awesome Santana bongo drums, that are actually so nice that yes, I admit, sit by our fireplace as if they're an artifact from Africa! :)

  3. The "black thrown" that Tucker is sitting in is actually the car seat that goes in Bryce's car, that he has played with all afternoon. A WHOLE CLOSET in our little house devoted to his toys and he plays with his car seat all day...go figure!! :)

Punkin Patch 2009

Well we headed out to the Pumpkin Patch last week for what's become our annual punkin pickin! We pass this pumpkin patch on the way to Tucker's school and I think it's his favorite part about going to school! So, he was VERY excited to actually get to go pick our pumpkin's out. He walked right up to the little pumpkins and stammered around a little bit and picked a pumpkin that was perfect for him--just his size. I tried to get him to get a bigger one that would be easier to carve---and he told me--uhmm, mo (which is no) mommy that punkin too big! So cute! Gigi was hungry and not exactly thrilled about the punkin patch--she was good while we were there because daddy held her but she told us about it the whole way home! Classic southern woman--keep your mouth shut in public! :) Tucker is totally obsessed with his pumpkin and he named it--guess what---Tucker Gandy--so creative! :)

Our Gigi Girly Girl!

Ohh, our Gigi girly girl, that's what Bryce, Tucker and I call Gigi. I can't believe she's already 6 months old, her little personality is coming out more and more everyday. Here's what's going in on with our Gigg these days...Gigi is definetly a girly girl, our days are filled with Gigi's little squeaks and screams. She loves, loves Tucker and Tanner and if they leave the room where she is playing she gets very upset. She hasn't had any teeth come in yet but I feel like they are on the cusp of breaking through. She has started eating baby food, and she LOVES to eat--her favorite so far is sweet potatoes! Her hair is starting to fall out in random locations and it's coming in really, really light--I was able to put her hair in a ponytail yesterday and she looked like she was in 9th grade! She's sitting up without support and she can get on all four's but she doesn't really know what to do from that point--she's just started to "rock". The biggest thing about our little Gigi, is her rolley polley legs--she has huge legs and they are just squeezable---actually when you squeeze her legs she giggles so loud! She can be very serious when she wants to be but also very sweet and cuddly when she wants to be--she's at that cute bouncing baby stage that I love--I can sit her on the ground and she bounces her hands up and down and talks and smiles--precious! I think we all feel blessed to have a Priss to balance everything out in this house! :)

Sweet Face!

Sometimes I call her SASS!

What you can't see is the spoon of sweet potatoes and apples headed her way!

This is what happens when the food is all gone! :) I can't believe that, that's a pretty pink and puprle sippy cup--I've waited so long to buy those!

God Bless!

Not the Cleavers!!

I've been thinking alot about how when you use the internet to let other people into your lives or just to chronicle your life, it can become very easy to make your life look like something that it's not. I mean don't get me wrong, I love my children and my family and I know the feeling is mutual but it ain't always "hunky dorry" (if I spelled that right). There are plenty of times where both kids are crying, the house looks like a bomb went off, and the laundry and dishes are falling out of the baskets and out of the sink! So here's an older picture of the kids. Gigi is crying because I had to put her down to make her bottle and Tucker is in timeout for something he did that offended either me or Gigi--I can't remember. Anyway, they both looked at me like---Why in the world are you taking a picture of us Mom??? So, we're definetly not the Cleavers, we're the Gandy's and we fall short everyday, but we always feel so blessed to have each other!

These Days...

Well I wanted to do a post about what's been going on with us these days! There's always alot going on but this fall there seems to be one main theme--we are so so so BUSY!! Here's our schedule, on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday Tucker has school. On Tuesday mornings we go to Morning Grace at our church, I'm taking the Beth Moore bible study, Esther and Tucker gets to have a little morning bible lesson and Gigi enjoys some time with some wonderful ladies in the nursery. On Wednesday nights Bryce and I are taking a class given through our church about finances (let me just say that this one class in and of itself would be enough to keep us busy :). And, I have decided to start selling 31 Gifts, it's a direct sell company that specializes in monogrammed bags and pocketbooks as well as home decor and stationary items. (Just a plug--my website is www.mythirtyone.com/lindseygandy if any of the 2 people that read my blog want to look around or maybe even host a party! :) So, needless to say we are enjoying getting more involved at church and in God's word but we are busy bees! On top of all this my pocketbook got stolen out of my car last week and my camera was in it (and ironically so was my bible and bible study book--kind of funny that a thief got the bible ) so, I'm having to take pictures of the kids with my cell phone--so here are some new pics but they are a little fuzzy!

Gigi is getting so big--I can't believe that she's almost 6 months old, she is my precious girl and I love watching her personality come out!

Uhmm... do I really need to say anything--Tucker is still Tucker--still trying to get the potty thing down pat! He thought this was just hilarious that he could put himself all the way in the toilet!

And I got these knock-off Chanel sunglasses in New York and AMAZINGLY they broke the other day--so we were in the car and the sun was really bright and Tucker was flipping out so I gave him the sunglasses and if I hadn't taken them off of him he would still be wearing them--he thought they were great! He cracks me up!

Hope everyone is having a great Fall! :)

What are we going to do with him???

Well, I'm probably going to regret posting this story, but I did say that I would use this blog to chronicle everything that is our family, so...here goes!

Just a little back story, Tucker has been potty-trained for about 3 months but the whole pooping thing can still be difficult for him and when he does make it to the toilet, he doesn't want anyone in the room and he immediatley flushes it so I don't always know what's going on. This is all well and good except for the fact that his attempts to wipe himself don't always work out.

So, let me set the stage here, we had just finished lunch, Gigi was in her exersaucer, and Tucker was jumping around on the leather chair. He jumped up all of the sudden and start pulling at his underwear, when I asked him what was wrong he said, "My butt itching." So I said Tucker, did you poo poo this morning and he told me that he did, so I went to find the baby wipes, and I came back in the room to probably the most disturbing sight that I will ever see between my children....Tucker was standing bare butt in front of Gigi's exersaucer and I said, "Son, what are you doing?" he said, "Gigi itchen my butt mommy!!" It was as if he had just figured out what her whole purpose for invading his life was!! I was horrified and there really aren't words that can describe the look on Gigi's face. I mean I sort of feel like she looks at all of us like she's better than us to begin with but I mean this whole thing just takes the cake. Can you imagine what must have been going through her head? Anyway, I can confirm that no contact was made between Queenie's fingers and Tucker's hiney but it was one of those moments where you go, where did he come from--too funny--kind of! :)

Tucker's First Day of Preschool

Yesterday was Tucker's first day of preschool, he's now in the 3 year old class, and he's going to school 3 mornings a week this year. We're lucky because his teacher's assistant Mrs. Brandy, moved up with the class from the 2's to the 3's, so she's very familiar with Tucker and ALL the things that make him sooooo unique! :) His lead teacher's name is Mrs. Dolly and Tucker refuses to call her Mrs., he just calls her Dolly.

Of course Bryce (Tucker's wanna-be stylist) and I (Tucker's real stylist) had a total debate about what he was going to wear on his 1st day--I know we need to find something else to do!

Gigi is very excited about spending 3 days a week ALONE with Mommy!

I promised Tucker that we would make cupcakes and have a little party if he had a good day, and according to Mrs. Dolly he had a GREAT day!

And, randomly this is what happens on the mornings that Tucker doesn't go to school! Poor Gigi!
